Flash'O
Many electricity, gas, water and heat meters have a flashing LED but no data port; Flash'O reads that LED and makes the meter smart without any rewiring. An optical probe on a 0.5-metre lead attaches by magnet or Velcro and counts flashes at up to 500 per second, so energy and power can be derived from the meter's pulse constant. Counts are stored, compressed and sent over LoRaWAN in batch reports, which extends battery life to as much as 12 years with daily reporting or eight years at hourly measurements. Typical uses include wireless automatic meter reading, sub-metering of tenants and load-curve collection for energy management.

Flash'O sends its data over LoRaWAN, so it needs a LoRaWAN Gateway in range. Works with any LoRaWAN Gateway, such as the UG65. If you already have a Gateway on site, you can skip this.
