Oyster Edge

Oyster Edge is designed for fleets of unpowered assets that spend time both indoors and outdoors. It locates itself with GNSS, Wi-Fi access-point scanning and cell-tower data, handing the calculation to the cloud to keep power consumption low, and its Bluetooth 5.2 gateway reports nearby BLE tags and sensors so tools can be tracked with the host asset. Connectivity is LTE-M or NB-IoT, with impact, tip and rotation detection and a theft-recovery mode for live tracking when needed. Three replaceable AA lithium batteries last about 10 years on daily updates or seven with movement-based reporting, in an IP68/IK07 nylon housing. Applications include equipment and container tracking, logistics and asset utilisation.
