Instead of a single detection point, the R718WBA uses a 3 m conductive rope sensor, so a leak anywhere along its length triggers an alert. The rope can be extended to a recommended 300 m, enough to run around a plant room or along a pipe route. The same unit reports temperature (±1°C) and humidity (±4% RH), so it doubles as a room-condition monitor. It is rated IP65, mounts on a magnetic base and runs for around five years on two AA-size lithium batteries over LoRaWAN. Typical sites include data centres and engine rooms, warehouses and archives, and beneath air-conditioning plant in commercial buildings.
