Clogged filters push up fan energy use and degrade air quality; the R718Y measures the pressure drop across a filter or duct section so replacement can be scheduled on condition rather than by calendar. It reads differential pressure from -500 to +500 Pa with 3% of reading ±0.1 Pa accuracy, plus temperature, via two 6 mm hose connections. Two AA-size lithium batteries provide around 3.8 years of 15-minute reporting over LoRaWAN, and the IP40 unit attaches to ductwork or plant with a magnetic base.
