Soil nutrient levels, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, are measured by the R72632A01, each from 0 to 1,999 mg/kg with ±2% of full-scale accuracy, and reports the values over LoRaWAN so fertiliser can be applied where it is actually needed. The IP68 probe is buried in the soil for long-term use and is resistant to corrosion; the IP65 main unit is powered by eight AA-size lithium batteries giving around 1.4 years of operation. It is suited to ordinary loam and clay soils with moisture above 25%, but not to saline or sandy ground. Applications include greenhouses and horticulture, grassland and pasture management, landscaping and sports turf, and research trials.
