Mounted above a tank, well or silo, the R900PB03AO1 measures the distance to the surface below using ultrasound, from 0.25 to 8 metres with a narrow 15-degree beam suited to confined spaces. When the reading crosses a set threshold it can switch a 3 V digital output as well as sending the value over LoRaWAN, so a pump or alarm can respond locally. Two ER18505 lithium batteries give around six years of operation, readings are stored (up to 10,000) and the unit is configured through the Netvox NFC app. Applications include water-tank and well-level monitoring, material-level checks in hoppers and general non-contact distance measurement.
