Where the surface being measured is grain, sand or soil rather than liquid, the R900PB06AO1 uses a stronger ultrasonic signal and a wider 20-degree beam to obtain reliable readings from 0.25 to 8 metres when mounted overhead. A digital output switches when the level crosses a set point, and readings are also sent over LoRaWAN, held for offline retransmission and stored up to 10,000 records. Two ER18505 lithium batteries give around six years of operation, the IP65 unit offers seven mounting methods, and configuration is via the Netvox NFC app. Applications include silo and hopper level monitoring, aggregate and sand stockpiles in construction yards, and bulk material stores in agriculture.
