VS360

A simple, battery-powered way to count people through a doorway, the VS360 pairs a master and node unit either side of the opening and registers each break of the infrared beam, reaching around 90% accuracy for bi-directional counting. Because it works on beam interruption rather than imaging, it is unaffected by clothing colour or room temperature and raises no privacy concerns. Each unit runs three to four years on two replaceable AA-size lithium cells, communicates over LoRaWAN, stores 1,000 records locally and shows live counts on a small OLED screen. It suits small shops, meeting rooms and washrooms where a low-cost footfall figure is all that is needed.
