FISSUR'O
Engineers responsible for quays, bridges and buildings can track crack movement remotely with FISSUR'O, a LoRaWAN displacement sensor designed to survive marine and coastal conditions. It measures crack widths from 1 mm to 10 cm with ±250 µm accuracy, and also reports its own tilt so you know if the sensor has shifted. Stainless ball-joint fixings adapt to almost any crack geometry, the IP68 body resists UV and temperature extremes, and there is no solar panel or external antenna to damage. Battery life ranges from five years at hourly reporting to 14 years at six-hourly. Typical uses include structural-integrity monitoring and crack progression on flood-defence infrastructure.
