Assets that cross borders need a tracker that keeps reporting wherever they end up, and Oyster3 Global pairs 4G LTE Cat 1bis with quad-band 2G fallback for worldwide coverage. It uses a full GNSS receiver for positions to around 2 metres, with adaptive tracking that increases update frequency during movement, on-device geofencing, impact detection and a theft-recovery mode. Records are stored when out of coverage and forwarded later. Three user-replaceable AA lithium batteries deliver around eight years at daily updates or 2.5 years with movement-based tracking, housed in an IP68/IK07 case rated for -30°C to +60°C. Typical applications include trailer, pallet and container tracking, international logistics and rental-equipment management.
