R718VA
Liquid level is detected from outside the container by the R718VA: a non-contact capacitive probe is glued to the exterior of a plastic, glass, ceramic or acrylic vessel with walls up to 20 mm thick and senses whether liquid is present at that height. Netvox designed it for toilet cisterns and hand-soap dispensers, so washroom teams know when a refill is due. The IP67 probe tolerates -5°C to +100°C; the IP65 (IP67 optional) main unit has a magnetic base and runs for around 4.6 years on two AA-size lithium batteries over LoRaWAN. Applications include soap and sanitiser dispenser monitoring, cistern checks and chemical drum level alerts.
