Built for outdoor sites without mains power, the R72624 measures noise, temperature and humidity from a weather-shielded housing and charges its own battery pack from a 5 W solar panel. Noise is read from 30 to 130 dB(A) with 0.1 dB resolution, temperature from -20°C to +55°C (±1°C) and humidity across 0 to 100% RH (±4% RH). Three rechargeable 18650 lithium cells (supplied by the user) give around 580 hours of operation at 15-minute reporting when fully charged, and data is sent over LoRaWAN. It suits construction-site noise monitoring, environmental monitoring around residential or campus boundaries, and outdoor comfort measurement in public spaces.
